Introduction: The most common event thatwhere anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries occurs in football are pressing situations.
Aim: The purpose of this study was to describe the knee and hip joint kinematics during pressing situations in football games in order to identify kinematic patterns in high-risk actions for ACL injuries.
Method: We filmed 5 female collegiate football games and identified A total of 66 pressing situations in a female collegiate football game were assessed for potential risk. The five situations with the largest distance between the trunk and foot placements in the sagittal plane were analyzed using a model-based image-matching technique.
