Torstein Dalen-Lorentsen holds a master's degree in sports physiology from the Norwegian School of Sports Sciences (2014).
Torstein defended his PhD thesis “Training load and health problems in football” in December 2021. Torstein has extensive experience working with top-level athletes in different sports, such as alpine skiing, handball and football.
Most recently, Torstein was working as the head of performance at the Norwegian professional football club Strømsgodset.

Torstein is a co-supervisor in Markus Vagle’s PhD project and is a part of different research projects surrounding the topics of training load and the implementation of preventive measures. Torstein is currently working as a research manager for the Health and performance technology group at SINTEF Digital.
